Our Mission
Better Together Dog Rescue is a dedicated team of professionals committed to bringing positive change to the animal welfare field. We believe no healthy or adoptable dog should be euthanized due to lack of space, and we strive to ensure that life circumstances never stand in the way of the bond between dogs and their families.
Why We Are Here
We believe strongly in the human-animal bond and feel everyone should have the opportunity to have a dog companion. By providing resources and community support, we help beloved dogs stay with their families, while also rescuing and transporting dogs from overcrowded partner shelters to give them a second chance at a happy life.
How We Work
As a small, primarily foster-based organization, we rely on a compassionate network of volunteers to provide safe, loving home environments for our dogs while they wait for their forever families. We are proud to be a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, relying on the generosity of our supporters to provide food, medical care, and essential resources to the dogs in our program.

10/20 - 🐾 Hunter is back and ready to find his forever home! ❤️ Unfortunately, not every adoption is the perfect match, and Hunter has found himself back with us after the resident dog decided he wasn’t quite the friend they were looking for. 10/16 - 🛸Nothing really makes AJ Brown growl or bark except when he thinks there might be an alien invasion! AJ is really thriving in his foster home and we can’t believe no one has scooped up this good boy yet! AJ is also doing great with potty and crate training, so he’s already working hard on those important life skills. If you’re looking for a sweet, people-loving pup who adores kids, appreciates a good stick, and believes your lap is the best seat in the house, AJ Brown might just be your MVP. 10/16 - This amazing puppy (seriously, words cannot describe how fantastic he is) is somehow still looking for his forever home! AJ Brown (aka Ziggy) is making great progress with potty and crate training. He’s dog-friendly and loves every person he meets. Every puppy is a big commitment, but this one is well on his way to becoming a fantastic companion. 10/14 - Meet Lady! 🐾 Lady is a 3-year-old, ~45 lb mixed breed, and we’re still getting to know her, but so far we’re loving what we see! She’s a medium-energy girl who is always happy to go for a walk or play, but is just as content snoozing on the couch and snuggling. She’s very affectionate without being clingy and is also perfectly happy to entertain herself with a bone or find a cozy spot to relax. She’s great with other dogs and very neutral and easygoing. She’s also incredibly respectful of cats — she’d much rather politely avoid them than bother them. Lady does well on leash and already knows sit, lay down, and paw. We’re working on her pulling and excited jumping, but she settles quickly. She is amazingly potty trained, absolutely loves her crate and doesn’t make a peep, and she loves going for car rides. The more we get to know Lady, the more we’re falling for this sweet girl. We can’t wait to see what else we learn about her and help her find her forever family. 🤍

10/11 - Meet foster #6, AJ Brown! (He answers to Ziggy). This beautiful 4-5 month old pup has a sweet personality and wonderfully calm energy. He loves kids and is well on his way to becoming an oversized lapdog—his favorite place to be is on a human.
