Our Mission
Poodle Rescue of New England is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and re-homing of poodles throughout New England and parts of Upstate New York. We have been matching new best friends since 1999, working tirelessly to ensure the right poodle finds the right home.
Our Commitment to Poodles
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, we rely entirely on private donations to support our work. We collaborate with veterinarians, shelters, and families to provide essential care, including spaying or neutering, vaccinations, heartworm testing, and grooming for every dog in our program. Our goal is to ensure every poodle receives the care and attention they deserve as they transition to their forever families.
A Compassionate Foster Model
We do not operate a central shelter facility. Instead, our dogs are cared for by a dedicated network of volunteers in temporary foster homes across the region. This foster-based environment allows us to evaluate each dog’s personality and needs individually, ensuring we create the best possible match for both the animal and the adopter.

We believe adoption is a joyful partnership, and our thoughtful matching process reflects that commitment. Rather than operating on a first-come, first-served basis, we take the time to understand each dog's specific requirements and match them with the right family. By focusing on quality and compatibility, we create long-lasting, loving relationships.
