At the Thomas J. O'Connor Animal Control & Adoption Center, our mission is to provide comprehensive animal control services while ensuring the protection and care of animals in our communities. We are dedicated to the health and safety of both our citizens and the animals who share our neighborhoods.
Serving Our Community
As a municipally funded shelter, we proudly serve the cities of Springfield, Chicopee, and Holyoke. Our facility provides a vital second chance for adoptable dogs, cats, and occasionally other critters, helping them find the loving homes they deserve.
How We Care
Our shelter is a busy, vibrant place where we prioritize the well-being of every animal in our care. Our in-house veterinarian oversees wellness and medical needs, while our dedicated staff ensures that every animal is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to adoption. We believe that with the right support, most of our animals find their perfect forever homes.
