Save A Dog
Our Mission
Save A Dog is a Massachusetts-based humane society dedicated to rescuing and rehoming dogs of all breeds, sizes, and shapes. Since our incorporation in 1999, we have helped over 8,000 dogs find the loving homes they deserve.
Our Story
We believe in giving every abandoned dog a second chance at a happy life. By collaborating with rural rescue organizations across the country where resources are scarce, we aim to prevent euthanasia and connect displaced pets with new, caring families.
Our Care Model
We provide a comprehensive, holistic approach to animal welfare, utilizing both our Sudbury shelter facility and a network of foster homes to house and prepare our rescues for adoption. Every dog in our care receives veterinary attention, and we prioritize educating our adopters on nutrition, natural supplements, and positive reinforcement training to ensure long-term health and success.
The Adopter Connection
We are deeply committed to making the perfect match for both you and your future companion. Because our shelter is small and we prioritize individual attention, we require an application process that helps us understand your lifestyle, ensuring that every placement is a safe and joyful partnership.
