Dalis to the Rescue exists to be a voice for animals that have none, providing critical care and second chances for hundreds of animals each year. Our goal is to educate the community on the responsibilities of pet ownership, ensuring every animal finds a loving home where they can thrive.
Our Journey
Born from the passion of Dalis Hitchcock, owner of D-Tails Dog and Cat Grooming Salon, our rescue began as a local effort to help animals in need. With the support of her partner, David, and our generous community, what started as a small vision has blossomed into a dedicated rescue capable of rehabilitating animals ranging from domestic dogs and cats to exotic birds and reptiles.
How We Care for Our Animals
We operate as a community-supported rescue where every animal receives essential medical attention, including spay and neuter services, vaccinations, and microchipping. While our cats can be visited at our shelter location in Alma, all of our adoptable dogs are raised in foster homes, ensuring they are well-socialized and prepared for life with their future families.
