Lake County Animal Control is dedicated to serving our community by providing a safe haven for lost and surrendered pets while striving to reunite them with their loving families.
Operating under the Lake County Sheriff's Office, our department addresses the essential needs of local animals and residents alike. We are committed to maintaining public safety and animal welfare by responding to calls regarding lost pets, nuisance complaints, and animals in need of care.
Our facility is operated by two dedicated Animal Control Officers who manage the daily care of the animals housed in our shelter. Beyond providing a home for those currently in our care, our team works diligently to reunite lost pets with their owners, scanning all incoming animals for microchips to ensure a swift return home whenever possible.
We believe every animal deserves a loving environment. While our primary focus includes enforcement of animal regulation laws, we are equally passionate about finding second chances for the pets in our care. When a reunion is not possible, we work to place these animals for adoption or coordinate with rescue agencies to ensure they find the supportive homes they deserve.
We invite you to visit our facility at 3390 S. Dog Track Rd in Baldwin to meet the animals currently awaiting their forever families. We are open Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, and our team is ready to assist you. Please feel free to reach out to us at (231) 745-3079 to learn more about the animals currently in our care and how you can make a difference in their lives.
