Our Mission
The Humane Society of Bay County is dedicated to saving and protecting animal lives through education, advocacy, and social change. We work daily to strengthen the vital bond between humans and animals, ensuring every pet has a future filled with love.
Building a Brighter Future
Founded in November 1984 by a group of compassionate citizens, our organization was created to address a critical need for animal advocacy in our community. We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, solely donor-funded, and operate as a separate entity from Bay County Animal Services.
Our Compassionate Approach
As a foster-based rescue, we rely on the commitment of our community to provide safe havens for animals in need. Our programs include comprehensive veterinary care, sterilization services, and our dedicated Trap, Neuter, Return (TNR) efforts to help community cats thrive. Whether an animal is in a foster home or at our cattery, they receive the medical attention and support they need while waiting for their perfect match.
