Macomb County Animal Shelter and Animal Control
Our Mission
Macomb County Animal Control is dedicated to protecting the health and safety of our residents while promoting the humane and ethical treatment of all animals in our care. We are committed to fostering a community where every animal is treated with dignity and compassion.
Our Commitment to Life
We have adopted a no-kill philosophy to ensure every healthy, non-aggressive animal has the best possible chance at finding a loving home. By prioritizing live release through adoptions, reuniting lost pets with their owners, and collaborating with rescue organizations, we work tirelessly to ensure that our shelter remains a place of hope and healing.
Providing Care and Comfort
Our facility in Clinton Township serves as a temporary haven where animals receive medical attention, care, and enrichment. We also rely on a network of dedicated foster homes to provide a nurturing environment for pets until they are ready to meet their forever families. From our pet food pantry to our community cat initiatives, we strive to support the well-being of animals throughout our county.
Your Role in Our Success
Adopting a pet is a joyful partnership that changes lives, and we are here to help you find the perfect match. We invite you to visit our facility to bond with our animals in a welcoming, controlled environment, or explore our current residents online. By welcoming a shelter pet into your home, you are directly supporting our life-saving mission.
