Pet Angel Adoption and Rescue Inc.
Our Mission
Pet Angel Adoption & Rescue is dedicated to finding loving forever homes for cats who need it most, with a special focus on bonded pairs, shy, scared, and extra-need animals.
Our History
What started in 2004 as a family effort by Jim and Nancy Engel to rescue kittens in their own garage has grown into a licensed, non-profit 501(c)(3) shelter. From our humble beginnings in a basement, we have evolved into a seven-room facility committed to providing a safe, no-kill haven for cats waiting for their perfect families.
How We Help
Operating as a volunteer-based, no-kill rescue in Frankenmuth, we focus on socializing our animals in a mostly free-roam environment. We are proud to be Michigan Pet Fund Alliance certified and strive to give every cat the medical care, vaccinations, and love they deserve before joining their new family.
A Meaningful Match
We believe in finding the perfect harmony between our cats and their new owners, rather than just finding any home. Our dedicated team takes the time to get to know your lifestyle and household needs, coaching you through the transition to ensure your new best friend settles in with the least amount of stress possible.
Join Our Family
Whether you are looking to adopt a new family member, volunteer your time, or support us through a donation, we would love to connect with you. We invite you to browse our currently adoptable cats and submit an application to start your journey toward meeting your new furry best friend today.
