Ionia County Animal Shelter
Our Mission
The Ionia County Animal Shelter is dedicated to saving lives, one paw at a time. We strive to provide a safe, welcoming environment for every animal that comes through our doors while working toward the goal of finding them a loving forever home.
Serving Our Community
Located in Ionia, Michigan, our facility serves as a vital resource for local animals in need of care and advocacy. We are proud to work alongside our community members to ensure that local pets are well-supported and treated with the compassion they deserve.
How We Care
Our dedicated team and volunteers work tirelessly to maintain a comfortable and pleasant environment for our animals. From daily enrichment to specialized medical needs, we rely on the generous support of our community—including donations of food, supplies, and preventative care items—to provide the best possible temporary home for our residents while they wait for their new families.
Your New Best Friend
Adoption is the beginning of a beautiful partnership, and we are committed to helping you find the perfect match. We have simplified the process with our online electronic adoption applications to ensure a smooth, transparent, and efficient transition for both our pets and their future adopters. Seeing our alumni thriving in their wonderful forever homes is exactly why we do what we do.
