Friends of Companion Animals (FOCA) is a dedicated, all-volunteer feline rescue and adoption center committed to preventing unwanted litters and connecting cats in need with their forever families in Monroe County.
Since 2011, we have worked tirelessly to serve our community by addressing the challenge of feline overpopulation. We believe that every cat deserves a safe future, and by providing expert care and resources, we help ensure that Monroe County remains a kinder, more compassionate place for all our feline companions.
As an all-volunteer, non-profit organization, we operate a physical shelter where cats receive medical attention, including spaying or neutering, vaccinations, and testing before they become available for adoption. Beyond the shelter, our passionate volunteers provide vital support through foster care, community TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) efforts, and our resale shop, with every penny of profit going directly back into the upkeep of our cats.
We believe that adopting a cat is the start of a beautiful, joyful partnership. Our team focuses on thoughtful matching to ensure each feline finds a home that perfectly complements their personality and needs, whether it is a playful kitten looking for a buddy or a gentle senior cat seeking a quiet companion.
Are you ready to meet your new best friend? We invite you to visit our shelter in Monroe to spend time with our cats, check out our current adoptables online, or consider becoming a volunteer or foster to make a lasting difference. Together, we can provide the love and stability these wonderful felines deserve.
