Since 1967, the Humane Society of Macomb has been dedicated to providing humane care for unwanted, abused, and injured animals. We strive to prevent cruelty, promote responsible spaying and neutering, and place every adoptable pet into a loving, permanent home.
Founded as a private, independent 501(c)(3) non-profit, we have spent nearly six decades helping those who cannot speak for themselves. We are proud to operate based entirely on the generosity of our community, without any affiliation to other animal welfare organizations.
At our Utica facility, we provide comprehensive veterinary care, including vaccinations, spay/neuter surgeries, and health screenings for every animal in our care. Our team of dedicated staff and volunteers utilizes a foster program and shelter environment to ensure every animal receives the attention and socialization they need while waiting for their perfect match. We are committed to our animals with no time limits on their stay, ensuring they receive the support they deserve until they find their forever families.
Adoption is a life-changing experience, and we are here to ensure the transition is smooth and rewarding for both you and your new companion. Our adoption process is designed to help you find a pet that fits your lifestyle, and our team is always available to offer ongoing support and guidance long after you bring your new best friend home.
Are you ready to find your perfect partner? We invite you to browse our available pets online or visit us at our shelter on 22 Mile Road to meet your future best friend in person. Join us in our mission to save lives and make a difference, one adoption at a time.
