Oceana County Animal Shelter
Our Mission
The Oceana County Animal Shelter is dedicated to the well-being of our community's animals by providing compassionate care and support. We strive to foster positive outcomes for every animal that comes through our doors, ensuring they are treated with the respect and kindness they deserve.
Serving Our Community
Operating under the supervision of the County Administrator, our department plays a vital role in the health and safety of Oceana County. We are here to support our neighbors by managing animal welfare, assisting with lost and found pets, and ensuring that our local animal ordinances are met with care and professionalism.
How We Help
Our shelter acts as a dedicated hub for animal services in the region. While we manage cases of animal cruelty, abandonment, and strays, we also take great pride in our adoption program, which helps connect local pets with loving forever homes. We are transparent about our processes and work hard to maintain a safe, temporary environment for those waiting to be reunited with their families or find a new companion.
A Joyful Connection
Adoption is the beginning of a beautiful partnership, and we are committed to making that experience rewarding for both you and your new pet. We invite you to spend time with our animals, take them for a walk, and discover the unique personality of each pet waiting for a second chance. Finding the right match is a thoughtful process, and our staff is here to help you every step of the way.
