At Cherryland Humane Society, we provide a safe harbor for the animals entrusted to us while striving to find them responsible, loving, and permanent homes. We are dedicated to advancing the well-being of animals and protecting those who cannot speak for themselves.
A History of Compassion
Founded in 1956, our organization has grown into a close-knit community of dedicated animal supporters. For decades, we have remained committed to providing a safe haven and exceptional care for the hundreds of dogs and cats that come through our doors each year.
Our Care Model
We are a no-kill, Fear Free certified animal shelter that prioritizes the emotional and physical well-being of every resident. Our team is committed to compassionate, low-stress care, ensuring that every pet is treated as an individual with unique social and behavioral needs. By fostering community awareness and providing resources, we work to address the root causes of animal homelessness.
Your Adoption Journey
We believe that adopting a pet is a beautiful, life-changing partnership built on mutual respect and love. Because each animal is an individual, our counselors focus on thoughtful matchmaking to ensure the best fit for both your family and your new companion. We provide ongoing support, including complimentary training sessions and counseling, to help you and your pet build a strong, lifelong bond.
