Newaygo County Animal Shelter
A Community Committed to Our Animals
The Newaygo County Animal Shelter is dedicated to providing compassionate care for animals in need while working toward a future where every pet finds a loving home. We believe in creating a safer, more humane community where all animals have the opportunity to thrive.
Serving Our County with Care
Our shelter serves as a vital resource for Newaygo County, providing a safe haven for stray and surrendered animals. By managing intake, care, and rehoming, we address the critical need for animal welfare services across our 864-square-mile area.
Our Approach to Care
Our team works tirelessly to provide professional care, including medical support, spaying or neutering, and essential vaccinations for all our residents. We do our best to reunite lost pets with their owners, facilitate adoptions, or coordinate transfers to rescues, ensuring every animal receives the attention they deserve. Our shelter is a place of transition, staffed by a dedicated team committed to the well-being of every dog and cat that comes through our doors.
Finding Your Perfect Companion
Adoption is a wonderful journey, and we are here to help you find the right addition to your family. We are proud to facilitate adoptions for both dogs and cats, ensuring each pet is healthy and ready for their new life. When you choose to adopt, you are not just getting a pet; you are giving a deserving animal a second chance at happiness.
