The Rescue Crew
A Second Chance for Every Life
The Rescue Crew is a 100% volunteer-operated, foster-based rescue in Minnesota dedicated to bringing hope and a second chance to dogs and cats who have nowhere else to turn. We believe every companion animal deserves a life filled with kindness, healing, and a family that truly sees their worth.
Our Mission and Purpose
Founded to fill a critical gap in local animal welfare, we work tirelessly to save companion animals who are homeless, abandoned, neglected, or at risk of euthanasia in local shelters. Our reach extends from overcrowded municipal shelters to tribal communities where resources are scarce, ensuring that even the most vulnerable pets receive the care and dignity they deserve.
A Community of Care
We operate through a compassionate network of dedicated foster homes rather than a traditional central facility, though we also manage The PURRfect Match cat adoption center in Andover. By living in home environments, our pets receive individualized attention and love while they wait for their forever families. This model allows us to focus on each animal's unique personality, temperament, and health needs.
Building Lifelong Bonds
We take pride in our commitment to proper placement, believing that thoughtful, lifestyle-based matching creates the strongest, most sustainable bonds between pets and their adopters. When you adopt from The Rescue Crew, you are joining a supportive community that prioritizes transparency, integrity, and lifelong success for both the animal and your family.
