Great Tails Animal Rescue
Our Mission
Great Tails Animal Rescue is dedicated to providing temporary shelter, medical care, and second chances for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals. Our mission is to advocate for domestic pets across Itasca County, Minnesota, by promoting responsible ownership and finding them safe, permanent, and loving homes.
A Community-Driven Purpose
Since 2018, we have worked to grow and expand our services, driven by the belief that strong communities start with responsible animal care. Our work is powered by the generosity of individuals, businesses, and community partners who believe every pet deserves a bright future.
How We Care
We operate primarily as a foster-based rescue, where animals live in volunteer homes to receive the daily love, socialization, and medical support they need while awaiting adoption. Our facility in Cohasset, Minnesota, works hand-in-hand with this foster network to expand our capacity and ensure we can better serve the community’s animals. This hybrid approach allows us to prioritize each pet's health and safety, ensuring they receive individual attention.
Finding Your Perfect Match
We are passionate about connecting pets with the right families to create successful, lifelong partnerships. Because we want every adoption to be a perfect fit, our team carefully evaluates each animal’s unique medical and behavioral needs. We believe in transparency and support, ensuring both you and your new companion are set up for a lifetime of happiness together.
