4 Luv of Dog Rescue

Our Mission

4 Luv of Dog Rescue is devoted to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming homeless and unwanted dogs. We believe every dog deserves a second chance, regardless of their age, breed, or health.

Our Story

Founded in 2005 and based in Fargo, North Dakota, we have grown into a dedicated community-supported organization. Over the last two decades, our volunteers have successfully placed over 6,600 dogs into loving forever homes.

How We Operate

We are a fully volunteer-run organization that operates primarily through a network of compassionate foster families. While we maintain a facility in Moorhead, Minnesota, it serves strictly as emergency-only housing until a foster home is secured. Because we receive no government funding, we rely entirely on the generosity of our supporters and fundraising efforts to provide essential care, including veterinary services, food, and socialization.

Your Partner in Adoption

We believe in creating a lifetime of love by matching the right home with the right dog. Our thorough, volunteer-led process ensures that both the pet and the adopter feel supported, safe, and compatible. We take the time to get to know our dogs’ personalities in foster homes, allowing us to offer guidance that helps you find your perfect new companion.

9/29 - This is what fostering can be! ❤️🐾 One dog already knows they’re home. The other is learning what “home” can feel like. A soft place to land. A dog friend to learn from. A couch to curl up on. Someone who gets excited to see them. A chance to relax, feel safe, and just be a dog. Fostering may feel like a small thing. You’re opening your home to one dog for a little while. But to that dog? It can mean everything. And the impact doesn’t stop there. Every dog who moves into a foster home opens up space at 4 Luv of Dog Rescue for another dog who needs us. More foster homes mean we can say yes more often to dogs in our community and beyond who have nowhere else to go. You don’t have to be a perfect dog trainer. You don’t need a huge house or a perfect schedule. You just need a little room in your home and your heart. We’ll be here to support you along the way. Your resident dog might even end up with a temporary best friend. 🥹 Foster one dog. Help save another. Make a difference that reaches farther than you realize. Come foster with 4 Luv of Dog Rescue. 🐶💕 Apply here! 👇👇 https://www.4luvofdog.org/foster-application/
