At Tri-County Humane Society, we believe in the transformative power of the human-animal bond. We exist to support the pets and people of Central Minnesota by promoting quality animal care, providing compassionate customer service, and fostering humane education.
Since our incorporation in 1974, we have grown from a small group of concerned residents operating out of a converted gas station to a dedicated 14,000-square-foot facility in St. Cloud. For over 50 years, our independent, non-profit shelter has relied on the generosity of our community to provide essential services without receiving any government funding.
We are a proud open-admission shelter, meaning we never turn animals away based on their age, health, breed, or temperament. Our incredible team, supported by a vital network of volunteers and fosters, provides exceptional care, enrichment, and medical attention—including mandatory spaying and neutering—to every animal that comes through our doors. By focusing on compassion and professional care, we strive to ensure that every animal receives the support they need while waiting for their forever home.
Adopting a pet is a life-changing experience, and we are here to help you find the perfect companion to share your life with. Our team works hard to create positive matches that reflect the unique needs of both the animal and your family. We are committed to transparency and dedicated to supporting you throughout the entire adoption process.
Ready to meet your new best friend? We invite you to browse our current list of adoptable dogs, cats, and critters online, or visit us in person at our St. Cloud shelter. Your support—whether through adoption, volunteering, or donations—makes our mission possible and creates happy endings for thousands of animals each year.
