Founded in 2000 by Shannon McKenzie, our organization has successfully placed more than 15,000 animals into loving forever homes. We are deeply moved by the animals in our care and act as their dedicated advocates, ensuring they receive the second chance they truly deserve.
Our Foster-Based Commitment
Underdog Rescue operates without a central facility, relying instead on an amazing network of volunteer fosters throughout the Twin Cities area. By opening their own homes to these animals, our volunteers provide a stable, loving environment while we manage necessary veterinary care and rehabilitation. This personal, home-based approach allows us to get to know each pet's unique personality and needs before they move to their forever family.
