At the Hancock County Animal Shelter, our mission is to promote responsible pet ownership while providing temporary, humane care for stray, unwanted, and homeless animals. We are dedicated to protecting the health and safety of our residents and the animals we serve, all under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian.
We proudly serve the entire Hancock County area, including the cities of Bay St. Louis, Diamondhead, and Waveland. By providing essential services like low-cost spay and neuter vouchers and micro-chipping, we work hard to keep our community's pets safe and healthy.
Our facility serves as a safe haven where animals receive professional care, including health screenings and vaccinations. Because we recognize the vital importance of a home environment, we also rely on a dedicated network of foster families to help reduce overcrowding and ensure our animals are ready for their forever homes.
When you choose to adopt, you are giving a deserving animal a beautiful second chance at life. We invite you to visit us to meet our wonderful residents of all breeds, sizes, and colors who are eager to provide your family with the love and affection they have been waiting to share.
Whether you are looking to adopt, volunteer your time to socialize our animals, or contribute through our Amazon Wish List, there are many ways to support our mission. Please call us at 228-466-4516 or visit our Facebook page to see our latest adoptable pets and learn how you can become a part of our life-saving community today.
