Hoofbeats and Pawprints Rescue
Our Mission
Hoofbeats and Pawprints Rescue is dedicated to saving lives and providing animals with the opportunity to thrive in new, loving environments. We work tirelessly to rescue, transport, and secure placements for pets, ensuring every animal gets the second chance they deserve.
Our Story
Founded to assist animals in need throughout Southwest Mississippi and Eastern/Central Louisiana, our organization has grown into a vital lifeline for thousands of pets. Operating from the historic 230-acre Woodland Plantation, we have transformed vacant spaces into humane care facilities where animals await their forever homes.
How We Help
Our work centers on the Natchez Transport Program, which bridges the gap between animals in our region and adoptive homes in areas where space is more plentiful. With a dedicated team of animal care technicians and volunteers, we provide veterinary screening, socialization, and a safe, comfortable environment. To date, our collaborative efforts have successfully saved nearly 20,000 animals from euthanasia.
Your Role in Our Journey
When you choose to adopt from us, you are not just gaining a companion; you are becoming an essential part of a life-saving mission. We take great care to ensure our social, friendly animals are matched with the right families, creating lasting partnerships that benefit both the pet and the home. Every adoption opens up space in our facility, allowing us to help even more animals in need.
