City of Hernando Animal Shelter
Finding Your New Best Friend
The City of Hernando Animal Shelter is dedicated to connecting wonderful pets with loving forever homes in our community. We believe every animal deserves a second chance and a place where they feel safe, valued, and cherished.
Serving Our Community
Located in Nesbit, Mississippi, we serve the greater Hernando area by providing a welcoming space for animals in need of transition. Our team is committed to the well-being of the pets in our care as they await their perfect match.
Our Approach to Care
Operating as a local animal shelter, our facility focuses on the daily needs of our residents while keeping the public informed through our active social media presence. We maintain a transparent environment where potential adopters can see the personalities of our animals firsthand. Our goal is to ensure each pet receives the attention and comfort they deserve while under our roof.
The Joy of Adoption
Adopting from our shelter is about more than just bringing home a pet; it is about building a lifelong partnership rooted in compassion. We take pride in helping families find the right companion to complete their home, ensuring a joyful transition for both the adopter and the animal.
