West Point Clay County Animal Shelter
Our Mission
We save lives through pet adoption by loving the abandoned, saving the wounded, and rescuing the mistreated. Our goal is to provide a path for community animals to find their perfect forever families.
A Second Chance for Every Pet
Our shelter operates from a transformed space that was once the Bryan Foods meat processing facility, now serving as a place of healing and hope. We are dedicated to the Clay County community, working tirelessly to provide a safe haven for lost, abandoned, and neglected animals who deserve a fresh start.
A Healthy, Happy Environment
We pride ourselves on maintaining a happy shelter where animal mental health is a top priority. Our team of professionally trained and certified experts ensures every pet receives high-quality care, including behavioral support, vaccinations, and routine spay/neuter services. Dogs enjoy daily playgroups, and our cats reside in spacious houses with both indoor and outdoor access, ensuring they feel comfortable and secure while waiting for their new homes.
Finding Your Perfect Match
We believe that until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened. Our staff is here to help you find the right companion, ensuring a thoughtful match that brings joy to both you and your new pet for a lifetime. Whether you are looking for a playful pup or a gentle cat, we are honored to help facilitate this life-changing connection.
