The Stone County S.P.C.A. is dedicated to providing humane care and treatment for animals in need, while working tirelessly to find suitable, loving homes for our residents. We believe that every animal deserves a second chance and a friend for life.
As a recognized 501c3 nonprofit, we operate the Jeanne H. Miller Animal Shelter to support homeless cats and dogs throughout Stone County, Mississippi. Our work is driven by the urgent need to address animal welfare in our rural community, where we strive to promote spay/neuter programs and educate the public on compassionate animal care.
We are a dedicated team committed to the well-being of every animal in our care. While we maintain a shelter facility in Mississippi, we also utilize a foster-based network to provide a loving environment for our animals until they find their permanent families. We are proud to coordinate regular, safe transports to connect our animals with adopters in various states across the country.
We view adoption as a joyful journey toward finding the perfect new member for your family. Because our staff is small and focused on each animal's unique needs, our application process helps us ensure a thoughtful, successful match. We value clear communication and transparency, providing virtual meet-and-greet opportunities to help you feel confident and excited about your new companion before they arrive home.
Ready to meet your new best friend? We invite you to browse our available animals or reach out to us with any questions about our mission. Whether you are looking to adopt or simply want to learn more about how you can help, we look forward to connecting with you.
