HELP Humane
Giving Every Cat a Second Chance
At HELP Humane, we believe every homeless, abused, or neglected animal deserves love, safety, and a dedicated path to a forever home. We are committed to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming cats, ensuring each one receives the compassion and care they deserve.
Our Journey of Compassion
Founded in 1996 and incorporated as a non-profit in 1998, our organization began as a foster-based program where we opened our own homes to animals in need. In 2005, we established our no-kill shelter in Belton, Missouri, to provide a consistent, healing space for animals while they wait for their new families.
A Different Approach to Shelter Life
We are a true no-kill organization, providing a sanctuary-style environment where cats are not kept in cages all day. Our unique, free-roaming community rooms allow cats to socialize, relax, and display their true personalities while they wait for adoption. This, combined with our dedicated foster network, ensures that every cat receives the individual attention and medical support necessary to thrive.
Finding Your Perfect Companion
Choosing to adopt is a life-changing decision, and we are here to support you in finding the perfect match. Because we spend time getting to know each cat’s unique personality in our free-roaming environment, we can help guide you toward a companion who fits your lifestyle. When you adopt from us, you aren't just gaining a family member—you are saving two lives by opening up space for another cat in need.
