Pawportunities

Our Mission

Pawportunities is dedicated to changing lives through animal welfare, creating second chances for animals and strengthening the bond between pets and their communities. We believe that every animal deserves safety, healing, and a family of their own.

Our Story

Our journey began in 2018 when our founder, Bentley Siems, chose to invest his science-competition prize money into starting an animal rescue instead of spending it on himself. What began as a heartfelt effort to help two kittens in his own home has grown into a community-driven organization serving the Kansas City region and beyond.

How We Care

We operate as a foster-based rescue organization, relying on a network of loving homes across the Kansas City Metropolitan area. This model allows our animals to decompress, show their true personalities, and experience everyday family life while waiting for their perfect match. While we maintain a small facility in Blue Springs for new arrivals and specific medical needs, the home environment remains the heart of our mission.

Connecting You with Your Future Companion

Adoption is a joyful journey that changes two lives: yours and the pet's. By utilizing foster insights, we provide potential adopters with a clearer understanding of a dog's habits, energy levels, and personality, ensuring a more confident and lasting match. We are committed to helping you find a companion who fits seamlessly into your household and lifestyle.
