Eden Animal Haven
A Safe Haven for Cats
Eden Animal Haven is dedicated to providing a compassionate, no-kill, and cage-free environment for cats in need. We are committed to giving every rescued feline a second chance at a happy, healthy life in a loving home.
Our History and Purpose
Founded in 2013 by Leslie Sawyer and Bill Stoll, Eden Animal Haven was born from a desire to address a significant need for cat rescue services in the Springfield, Missouri area. Since our humble beginnings in a converted barn, we have grown into a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has successfully rescued over 3,000 cats.
Our Unique Environment
We are proud to be the first no-kill, cage-free shelter for cats in Southwest Missouri. Our state-of-the-art facility, established in 2017, is designed to house about 80 cats at a time, featuring specialized rooms for kittens and recovering cats, as well as large spaces with safe access to outdoor catios.
The Joy of Adoption
We believe in the power of finding the perfect match between our cats and their new families. Our team works closely with every potential adopter to understand your unique situation, ensuring that you and your new companion are set up for a lifetime of joy. Whether you meet our cats in person or through our online listings, we are here to guide you toward your future fur-ever friend.

9/29 - Cat rescue partners with Willard woman to reduce feral cat population
A cat rescue is teaming up with a Willard woman to help cut down on the feral cat population in the area. Eden Animal Haven in Brighton is working with Sharon Larson to fix stray cats that have shown up on her property, up to 25 at one point. The method is called trap, neuter, return. Eden workers humanely trap the cats, then get them spayed or neutered. The cats are then returned with no potential to add to the cat population.
8/24 - $10,000 grant will help a local animal rescue find homes for stray cats
Eden Animal Haven received a grant from the ASPCA.
