Livingston County Humane Society
Our Mission
At Chillicothe Animal Shelter, we are dedicated to making new best friends every day. We believe in providing a safe, loving environment where animals can thrive until they find their perfect forever families.
A History of Care
Since 1998, we have been a proud fixture in Chillicothe, Missouri. Owned and operated by the Livingston County Humane Society, a 501(c)(3) organization, we are committed to serving our local community and ensuring that every animal receives the care and attention they deserve.
Our Approach
Our licensed shelter environment ensures that all animals receive essential medical care, including spaying, neutering, vaccinations, and necessary testing. We work closely with two dedicated local veterinarians to maintain the health of our residents, and our team is always ready to welcome visitors to meet our adoptable animals.
Finding Your Perfect Match
Adopting is one of the most rewarding journeys you can undertake, and we are here to make that process as simple and supportive as possible. By carefully reviewing each application, our Shelter Guardians help ensure that every pet finds a safe, healthy, and happy forever home that fits their unique personality.
Visit Us Today
We invite you to experience the joy of adoption by visiting us at our Chillicothe facility during our daily business hours from 9 AM to 4 PM.
