At Gladstone Animal Shelter, our mission is to provide dedicated care for homeless and unwanted animals while helping them find loving, permanent homes. We believe that every animal deserves a fresh start, and we are committed to making that journey as smooth and rewarding as possible for both you and your new companion.
Operating under the Gladstone Police Department, our team does much more than provide a safe haven. While we manage the city shelter, our daily focus is on providing comprehensive animal care, including veterinary services, vaccinations, and essential socialization. We believe in the importance of responsible pet ownership and strive to serve our community through both shelter support and public education programs on animal safety.
Homeless animals in our care receive professional veterinary attention, including physical exams, spay or neuter services, vaccinations, and microchipping. By focusing on these health needs, we ensure that every pet is ready to transition into a happy home. We are grateful to partners like Hill’s Science Diet, who provide nutritional support for all the animals living in our shelter.
Finding the right match is a special process, and our experienced staff is here to help guide you. We take the time to offer suggestions and information so you can feel confident that your new family member is the perfect fit for your lifestyle. Our adoption process is designed to be transparent, ensuring that each animal is healthy, vetted, and ready to thrive by your side.
