Our History and Our Mission
Founded in 1975, Open Door Animal Sanctuary has grown to become the largest no-kill shelter in the greater St. Louis area and the state of Missouri. We serve our community by providing hope, help, and healing to stray, abused, neglected, and otherwise unwanted cats and dogs.
How We Care
Each day, we provide dedicated love, shelter, food, and medical care to more than 350 animals. Our facility offers a largely cage-free living environment, featuring comfortable catteries like Kitty City and kennels equipped with heat, air-conditioning, and outdoor runs. We are committed to maintaining the highest standard of animal welfare 365 days a year.
