Independence Animal Services - Independence Animal Services
Our Mission
Independence Animal Services is dedicated to protecting the safety and welfare of both people and animals in our community. We strive to be a leader in promoting humane care, responsible pet ownership, and programs that ensure every animal has a chance to thrive.
Serving Our Community
As a municipally-operated shelter, we serve the residents of Independence and unincorporated Jackson County with compassion and professional care. We are committed to reducing pet overpopulation through spay and neuter initiatives and working diligently to reunite lost pets with their families.
Our Care Approach
Our facility provides a supportive environment where staff and volunteers work hard daily to offer enrichment for every animal in our care. From comprehensive medical services like vaccinations and microchipping to our dedicated socialization and training programs, we ensure our animals are healthy and prepared for their next chapter.
