Animal Welfare Alliance of Southeast Missouri
Our Mission
The Animal Welfare Alliance of Southeast Missouri is dedicated to fostering a spirit of cooperation among public and private animal care organizations in our area. We strive to create a brighter future for every pet by supporting adoption, promoting spay and neuter efforts, and seeking shelter for abandoned animals.
Why We Exist
Based in Poplar Bluff, our organization was founded to bridge the gap between local agencies and the community. By working together, we aim to ensure that our regional animal welfare network remains strong, supported, and focused on the well-being of the pets who need us most.
How We Help
As a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, we are committed to providing care for animals in need through our regional no-kill shelter. We actively encourage responsible pet ownership by providing resources for spay and neuter services and by coordinating with local veterinary partners to ensure our animals receive the care they deserve.
Your Role in Our Journey
When you choose to adopt from the AWA, you are not just bringing home a pet; you are becoming part of a compassionate community that values second chances. We believe that every adoption is a joyful partnership, and our team is here to support you in finding the perfect companion for your home.
