At Judy’s Forgotten Jewells, we are dedicated to polishing up animals that are diamonds in the rough, providing them with the love, medical care, and second chances they deserve. Our passion is pet adoption, and our goal is to see every animal find a loving, permanent home.
Founded in 2009 by veterinarian Patricia L. Smith, DVM, our rescue was created in honor of her mother’s childhood dog, Judy, and the Jewell Animal Hospital. We are a licensed non-profit that relies on the dedication of volunteers and the support of our community, as we do not receive funding from large corporations or private foundations.
We believe every animal has value, regardless of their background. We specialize in providing a sanctuary for animals often overlooked by others, including the elderly, injured, or those with medical needs, and we work in close partnership with Jewell Animal Hospital to ensure each pet receives quality medical attention. Whether in our facility or supported by our foster network, our animals are part of our family until they find their perfect match.
Adoption is a joyful, collaborative experience. Our staff works closely with you to understand your lifestyle and household, ensuring a thoughtful match that helps both you and your new companion thrive. We believe in being transparent, supportive, and accessible throughout the entire journey, from that first meet-and-greet to settling in at home.
We invite you to browse our available pets online or contact us to schedule an appointment. Whether you are ready to adopt, interested in fostering, or looking to support our mission through our Amazon Wishlist or The Karma Fund, there are so many ways to get involved. Together, we can make a lasting difference in the lives of animals who need us most.
