The Cat Shelter
Our Mission
At The Cat Shelter, our mission is simple: to ensure every cat who has ended up alone and in need finds a safe place, a fresh start, and a home to call their own.
Our Story
Formerly known as Animal House Cat Rescue and Adoption Center, we are the same dedicated team with the same commitment to life-changing work. We rebranded to become more accessible to our community, ensuring that even more cats in need of a second chance can easily find their way to our doors.
A Space Built for Cats
Our shelter is built with feline well-being in mind, offering cozy beds, soft blankets, nutritious food, and engaging toys. We provide a clean, comfortable environment where our cats receive everything from routine checkups to specialized medical care, all while surrounded by the affection of people who truly adore them.
Creating Perfect Matches
We believe that you aren't just searching for any cat, but for the cat who belongs with you. We take the time to learn the unique personalities and preferences of every resident, allowing us to make thoughtful, meaningful matches between our cats and their new families. Our commitment to your cat extends long after the adoption is finalized, as we are here to support you throughout your entire journey together.
Join Our Community
Are you ready to meet your new companion? We invite you to explore our available cats online or visit our St. Louis location during adoption hours. Whether you are looking to adopt, volunteer, or support our lifesaving work through donations, we are excited to have you as part of our mission.
