Stover Animal Rescue is dedicated to providing a safe, clean, and healthy environment for as many needy pets as our resources allow. We strive to set the standard for the compassionate treatment of living beings through rescue, training, education, and dedicated care.

Our Story

Founded in 2005 by lifelong animal advocate Carol Sue Weigel, we serve as a no-kill 501(c)3 nonprofit based in Stover, Missouri. Our organization was born from a desire to help abused, abandoned, and stray cats and dogs in our community by providing them with the rehabilitation they need while they wait for their forever families.

How We Operate

We are a volunteer-run organization that operates without any governmental support, relying entirely on the generosity of donations, sponsorships, and our thrift store. Our team works tirelessly to maintain our facility and partners with other advocacy groups to ensure our rescued animals have the best opportunities to find loving homes. As a no-kill shelter, we ensure every animal receives the high-quality care and respect they deserve.
