Green Hills Animal Shelter
Our Mission
At Green Hills Animal Shelter, our mission is to provide a safe haven and a second chance for pets in need. We are dedicated to matching every animal with a loving home where they can thrive.
Our History
Our journey began in 1999 when the first Green Hills Animal Shelter Committee was formed. By 2000, we grew into a federal non-profit corporation, supported by a dedicated 12-member Board of Directors, to serve our community.
Providing Compassionate Care
Located in Trenton, Missouri, our facility serves as a temporary home for animals while they await their forever families. We are proud to be recognized as a pillar of our local community, committed to maintaining a warm, welcoming space for both our animals and our visitors.
Your Role in Their Journey
We believe that every pet has a special story and a unique personality waiting to be discovered. Whether you are looking for a lifelong companion or interested in helping our long-term residents—our longest-stay cats and dogs—your decision to adopt creates a joyful, life-changing partnership.
