Our Mission
At Haven of the Ozarks, we are dedicated to rescuing abused, abandoned, and dumped animals in our region. We strive to provide a safe, loving sanctuary while working to end pet overpopulation through education and advocacy.
Who We Are
Established as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization in Southwest Missouri, we believe that every animal deserves a chance at a happy life. Our sanctuary operates as a no-kill facility, meaning we never place time limits on the animals in our care and only consider euthanasia in cases of severe medical suffering or significant safety concerns.
How We Care
Our sanctuary is situated on 11 acres near Cassville, where we work hard to provide a homelike environment for all our residents. Our cats enjoy spacious community rooms designed for play and socialization, while our dogs thrive in large outdoor pens with access to shade, swimming pools, and constant care. Every animal that enters our doors is spayed or neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and receives any necessary medical attention before they head to their forever home.
The Adopter Connection
Finding the perfect match is a joyful experience, and we are here to help you find your new best friend. We believe in creating lasting bonds and are committed to placing approximately 600 animals into loving homes each year. Because we are a dedicated team, we offer lifetime sanctuary for any pet adopted from our facility, ensuring our commitment to them never ends.
Visit Us
We invite you to visit our sanctuary any day between 9 AM and 4 PM to meet our wonderful animals; no appointment is necessary. Whether you are looking to adopt, volunteer, or simply want to learn more, we would love to welcome you to our community. Together, we can continue to create happy tails for every pet in our care.
