Help for Homeless Pets

Our Mission

Help For Homeless Pets is a dedicated 501(c)(3) no-kill animal shelter committed to finding permanent, loving homes for every dog and cat in our care. We strive to provide a safe haven for animals in need while promoting spay and neuter efforts to reduce pet overpopulation.

Who We Are

Since 1998, we have proudly served the Billings, Montana, area and the surrounding Yellowstone County community. We believe every animal deserves a second chance at a happy life, and our work is driven by the goal of transforming former strays and abandoned pets into cherished family companions.

Our Approach

As a no-kill organization, we provide a comfortable, stress-free environment for up to 100 cats and 40 dogs at our facility located on Hannon Road. Whether an animal is staying at our shelter or thriving in one of our dedicated foster homes, our team ensures they receive the care, food, and veterinary attention they need until they are ready for their forever families.

Finding Your Perfect Match

We view adoption as a lifelong partnership, which is why we take care to screen applicants to ensure our pets are placed in stable, permanent homes. When you choose to adopt from us, you gain a new best friend and the support of an organization that is invested in your long-term success together. Our application process helps us ensure that each pet is placed in an environment where they will be loved and well-maintained for their natural lifetime.

Visit Us Today

We invite you to visit our facility daily between 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., including all holidays, to meet our adoptable residents in person. If these hours do not work for your schedule, please call us at 406-896-1700 to arrange a special appointment. We look forward to helping you find your new companion and making a difference in the life of a homeless pet.
