Beatrice Humane Society
Our Mission
The mission of the Beatrice Humane Society is to shelter, protect, and place lost and homeless companion animals in Gage County while serving as an educational resource. We envision a community that embraces companion animals with compassion, promoting both protection and responsible pet ownership.
Our Story
For many years, the Beatrice Humane Society has been dedicated to sheltering abandoned animals and fighting against cruelty and neglect. We work to build a caring, compassionate community here in Beatrice, Nebraska, by being an advocate for every animal that comes through our doors.
How We Care
We operate as more than just a shelter; we are a dedicated team committed to providing individualized care. Many of our animals benefit from our robust foster program, which allows us to provide specialized attention, medical support, and behavioral assessments in a home environment before they find their permanent families. For those in our facility, our staff and volunteers work tirelessly to ensure every animal is treated with the love and respect they deserve.
Finding Your Perfect Match
We believe adoption is the beginning of a beautiful, lifelong partnership. Our process is designed to set you and your new friend up for success, including counseling sessions to help you settle in. Whether you are looking for a dog or a cat, we encourage all household members to be involved in the decision to ensure a joyful, lasting connection.
