Paws & Claws Adoption Center (Platte Valley Humane Society)
Our Mission
At Paws & Claws Adoption Center, we are dedicated to helping every animal find their perfect new best friend. We believe that every pet deserves a safe, loving environment and a bright future in a forever home.
Serving Our Community
Located in Columbus, Nebraska, the Erna R. Badstieber Paws and Claws Adoption Center serves as a vital resource for our local animals in need. We are committed to providing care, medical support, and a pathway to adoption for pets throughout the region.
How We Care
Our operations are built on a blend of dedicated shelter care and a robust foster network. While our facility in Columbus provides a temporary home, our foster families are critical in saving lives, especially for bottle-feeding kittens who require extra warmth and around-the-clock feedings. We provide all necessary supplies—from food and litter to medical care—ensuring that every animal in our care is nurtured and supported until they are ready to meet their new family.
Your Adoption Journey
Adoption is a joyful partnership, and we are here to help you make a lifelong connection with your new companion. We encourage potential adopters to browse our available cats and dogs and complete our online adoption application to start the process. Whether you are looking for a playful kitten or a seasoned adult companion, we are here to support you in finding the right match for your home and lifestyle.
