At Town and Country Animal Rescue, our mission is simple yet profound: Saving lives and connecting people and pets. We believe in building a circle of support around every animal we rescue, meeting our neighbors where they are to nurture empathy and responsible care.

For over 40 years, our team has worked tirelessly to provide a safe haven for animals in need. While our buildings have faced the challenges of time and harsh Nebraska weather, our dedication has never wavered. We are currently working toward a renewed, modern campus that will serve as a welcoming community hub, expanding our ability to protect vulnerable animals and inspire the next generation of compassionate pet owners.
How We Operate
As a nationally recognized no-time limit shelter and Best Friends Network partner, we are committed to providing exceptional care for every animal that comes through our doors. Beyond our core rescue and adoption efforts, we provide affordable, high-quality boarding services and maintain a pet food pantry to keep families together. We rely on the heart and dedication of our volunteers to maintain these vital services in our Papillion community.

10/21 - An update on our Kenzie. 💕 Thank you for all of the support you've shown this sweet girl. Many of you have asked how you can help. We can always use bleach to help keep our facilities clean and safe for all the animals in our care and we have an Amazon wishlist to help off set our costs.
