TrustRescue
Our Mission
Trust Rescue is a community dedicated to ending unnecessary euthanasia of adoptable dogs by uniting animal lovers to share knowledge, take direct action, and save lives. We believe that you are truly their world, and we work every day to ensure every dog has the opportunity to thrive.
The Heart of Our Work
The name Fido is derived from the Latin word for I trust, which serves as the foundation for everything we do. We operate as a foster-based rescue community out of Atco, New Jersey, serving the surrounding tri-state area with the goal of matching the right dog to the right family.
How We Help
Because we do not operate a traditional kennel, our dogs are cared for in dedicated foster homes throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania, where they receive love, stability, and medical care in a family environment. We are committed to transparency and excellence, ensuring our dogs receive thorough veterinary support, including vaccinations and spay or neuter services, before they join your family.
The Adopter Connection
We believe that successful adoptions are built on conversation and trust rather than barriers. Our adoption process is designed to be personal and educational, helping you find a lifelong companion through a supportive, match-focused approach. Whether you are a first-time owner or a lifelong dog lover, we are here to provide the guidance you need to make your transition smooth and rewarding.
Join Our Fur-mily
Are you ready to meet your perfect pup? We invite you to view our available dogs online, submit an application to start the process, or visit us in person at our weekly Saturday adoption events at PetSmart in West Berlin, NJ. We cannot wait to help you begin this exciting new chapter with your new best friend.

10/22 - 💙 CASCADE WAS FIGHTING FOR HIS LIFE 💙 One minute, this sweet boy seemed perfectly fine. Then, suddenly, everything changed. 💔 Cascade was extremely sick, in pain, and we had no answers. He was hospitalized at Philadelphia Animal Hospital, receiving intensive supportive care while our veterinary team worked tirelessly to figure out what had happened. This video was taken during those frightening early days. Seeing him like this was heartbreaking, but we were determined to give him every chance. 💙 We needed answers. We needed help. And Cascade needed us. Emergency veterinary care is expensive, but we will always fight for the dogs who need us. 🐾 ADOPT: trustrescue.org 💙 DONATE: trustrescue.org/donate-1 🏡 FOSTER: Open your home and save a life. If you can’t donate, please SHARE. Every dollar saves lives. Every share matters. Please keep sweet Cascade in your thoughts. 🩵 #fostersavelives #adoptdontshop #trustrescue

10/18 - 💙 CASCADE’S HANDOFF 💙 Six pounds of sweetness, coming right up! 🩵🐾 Cascade had been found running around on his own, and when the kind people who found him couldn’t locate his owner, they brought him to ACCT Philly to make sure he was safe. Thankfully, his time at the shelter was leading to something new. Trust Rescue stepped in, and Cascade got his chance to leave the kennel behind and head into the care of one of our volunteers. 💙 And this little guy? He was all sweetness! Friendly, lovable, and ready to make friends, Cascade showed us that even after an uncertain start, there’s still so much love to give. Now he was safely out of the shelter and on his way to a new beginning. 🩵 We may not know how this tiny boy ended up on his own, but we’re so happy his story brought him to us. Welcome to Trust Rescue, Cascade! 10/16 - 💙 MUFF’S VET UPDATE: WE HAVE THE BEST NEWS! 💙 Remember our sweet Muff? The three-month-old Australian Shepherd blend puppy who was found limping in a park and came into ACCT Philly as a stray? When X-rays revealed a complex fracture in his leg, Muff urgently needed a rescue to step up and take responsibility for his medical care. Trust Rescue said YES, and we reached out to Providence Animal Center to get him the surgery he needed. We were preparing for what we thought would be an amputation. 💔 But then came the phone call we were all hoping for! 🥹💙 When the team at Providence took new X-rays, they discovered that the second bone, which had originally appeared fractured, was actually perfectly intact! And the break in the other bone was so clean that the intact bone was acting like a natural splint. Even better? During the two weeks Muff waited for his appointment, his leg had already been healing beautifully! The veterinary team believes that with a couple more weeks of rest, keeping him calm and limiting his activity, his leg should heal completely on its own. Muff’s planned amputation turned into a NEUTER ONLY! 🎉💙 He did not need an amputation, and we could not be happier! He’ll return to Providence in a couple of weeks for another X-ray to check his progress. If all continues to go well, he’ll be cleared to get back to being the puppy he was always meant to be. A huge THANK YOU to the team at Providence Animal Center for taking another look and giving Muff this wonderful news. And thank you to everyone who has followed his journey, shared his story, donated, and cheered this little guy on. Your support helps make these second chances possible. 🩵 Muff, keep resting, keep being adorable, and keep showing us that sometimes the best news is the news you never expected! 💙 DONATE: trustrescue.org/donate-1 💙 FOSTER: Open your home and help us save another life. 💙 ADOPT: trustrescue.org Every dollar saves lives. If you can’t donate, please share Muff’s story! #trustrescue #fosteringsaveslives #adoptdontshop #MuffsJourney #RescuePuppy @providence_ac

10/16 - 💙 JOHN WAYNE’S HANDOFF 💙 This little cowboy was ready to ride out of ACCT Philly and into a brand-new chapter! 🤠💙 John Wayne was just a 10-pound puppy when a group of caring students found him wandering alone. A Temple police officer made sure he got to the shelter, and thankfully, his story didn’t end there. Trust Rescue stepped in, and this sweet boy got his chance to leave the kennel behind. 🩵 One moment, he was waiting at the shelter. The next, he was being carried into the arms of someone ready to help him find his way. No more wandering alone. No more uncertainty about what would happen next. Just the beginning of a much brighter future. We’re so grateful to the students who cared, the officer who helped, and everyone who played a part in getting John Wayne one step closer to the life he deserves. 💙 Welcome to Trust Rescue, little cowboy!
