At the Burlington County Animal Shelter, our vision is to create a compassionate environment where every animal receives dedicated care, love, and attention. We are committed to promoting a no-kill philosophy, ensuring that every pet in our care has the best possible quality of life while they await their forever home.
Serving as the rabies control point for the 40 municipalities of Burlington County, we provide a vital service to our local community. We take pride in being a place where county residents can bring stray and unwanted animals, ensuring those in need find safety and a second chance at happiness.
Our facility offers a safe, short-term stay for stray dogs, cats, and small animals. We are supported by animal control contracts and our county taxpayers, working alongside committed volunteers and rescues to save over a thousand lives each year. Every animal in our care receives veterinary attention, including spay or neuter services and essential vaccinations, before they are ready for adoption.
We believe in the power of responsible, permanent placement, which is why we take considerable care in finding the right matches for both our animals and our prospective adopters. Our comprehensive adoption process includes a phone interview and in-person meet-and-greets, helping ensure a joyful, long-lasting partnership for your entire family.
Are you ready to meet your new best friend? We invite you to view our available animals online or visit us at our Westampton facility to start your adoption application. Whether you choose to adopt or wish to support our mission through donations, your involvement makes a meaningful difference in the lives of the animals who need it most.
