Albuquerque Animal Services - Eastside
Our Mission
The City of Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department is dedicated to providing excellent care and services to the animals and citizens of our community. We strive to create a pet-inclusive culture where every animal has the opportunity to heal and find a permanent, loving home.
Why We Are Here
Our commitment to animal welfare is driven by our passion for the well-being of our city's pets and the people who love them. By partnering with our community and generous supporters, we work tirelessly to address the needs of animals in our care and provide essential resources for local pet owners.
How We Help
We operate both the Eastside and Westside shelters, serving as a sanctuary for lost, surrendered, or homeless pets. Our comprehensive care model includes a robust foster program for animals needing extra time, healing, or social development, alongside expert medical services that ensure every pet is ready for its next chapter.
Your Next Best Friend
Adoption is the beginning of a beautiful partnership, and we are here to help you find the perfect match for your lifestyle. Whether you are looking for an active dog or a quiet companion cat, our team is committed to transparency and providing the guidance you need to make a successful transition.
Join Our Mission
We invite you to experience the joy of adoption by visiting our shelters or viewing our available pets online. You can also make a lasting difference by volunteering your time, becoming a foster parent, or supporting our vital medical programs. Together, we can provide brighter futures for the animals of Albuquerque.
