Farmington Regional Animal Shelter

Our Mission

The Farmington Regional Animal Shelter is dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community by providing comprehensive, compassionate care to the animals of our region. We believe in creating safe shelter and meaningful placement opportunities while maintaining the well-being of every animal in our care.

Serving Our Community

As an open-admissions, municipally-run animal shelter, we proudly serve as a vital resource for the City of Farmington and San Juan County. Our facility on Browning Parkway stands as a central hub where animals find temporary refuge, care, and the hope of a fresh start in a new home.

How We Care

We operate as a dynamic shelter environment supported by a robust network of volunteers and foster families. While our dedicated staff ensures daily comfort and medical attention, our volunteers play an essential role by socializing animals, walking dogs, and providing the extra love that prepares our residents for their future families.

A Joyful Partnership

There is no better feeling than adopting a pet and providing them with a loving, permanent home. Most of our animals are wonderful companions who have found their way to us through no fault of their own and are simply waiting for the right person to notice them. When you adopt, you are not just changing one life, but also creating space to help another animal in need.

Join Our Mission

Whether you are ready to adopt, interested in our flexible foster program, or want to contribute your time as a volunteer, we invite you to be a part of our work. Please visit us at 133 Browning Parkway to meet our animals, or explore our website to see all the ways you can get involved and make a lasting difference.
