Mountainair Animal Shelter
Our Mission
The Mountainair Animal Control Shelter is dedicated to the well-being and safety of the animals in our care. We strive to provide a supportive environment for every animal while they await their next chapter.
Our History
We are grateful for the ongoing support from our community, which has been instrumental in the development of our new shelter. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we have been able to improve our facilities and continue our mission of providing compassionate care to the animals of Mountainair.
How We Care
Under the direct supervision of our Animal Control Officer, every pet in our facility receives consistent care and a strictly monitored, healthy diet. This structured approach ensures that each animal is healthy and well-prepared for their transition to a new home. Because of their specific dietary needs, we kindly ask that visitors refrain from feeding the animals during their stay.
A Partnership for Life
Adoption is a joyful journey, and we believe in creating successful matches that last a lifetime. Our team is committed to the comfort and health of our residents, ensuring that when you welcome a pet into your family, they are ready to thrive. We value the thoughtful engagement of our adopters, who play a vital role in our success stories.
