Buddy’s Second Chance Rescue is a haven where tragic tales are transformed into hopeful new beginnings. Our passionate mission is to save as many innocent dogs as possible, guided by the motto: Save one until there are none!
A Legacy of Hope
Established in 2013, our non-profit journey began with Buddy, a courageous dog who found a second chance in a foster home after facing the prospect of euthanasia. Inspired by his transformation, our founders launched this rescue to ensure that every dog in need receives the same opportunity for a lifetime of happiness.
Our Foster-Based Model
We operate as a 100% foster-based organization in the Western New York area, pulling dogs from high-kill shelters across the country. By placing rescues in loving foster homes, we provide them with the comfort, care, and stability they need while they wait for their forever families. Every dog we save creates space for another, effectively allowing us to save two lives at once.
