Town of Babylon Animal Shelter
Giving Every Pet a Fresh Start
The Babylon Animal Shelter is dedicated to providing compassionate care and support to animals in need while helping them find their way into loving, permanent homes. We believe every dog, cat, rabbit, and small pet deserves a second chance to thrive with a family who cherishes them.
Our Commitment to the Community
As a division of the Department of Environmental Control, we serve the Town of Babylon and beyond by providing essential pet services and a safe haven for displaced animals. We address the community's need for responsible pet care and support, ensuring that both pets and their owners have the resources they need to build lasting relationships.
Care and Dedication
Our facility is home to a dedicated team, including an on-staff veterinarian and technician, who ensure that every animal receives thorough medical attention, age-appropriate vaccinations, and the care necessary to prepare them for adoption. In addition to our shelter environment, we operate a kitten foster program to provide young animals with a nurturing home setting while they grow, ensuring they receive the socialization needed for a healthy future.
Finding Your Perfect Companion
Adoption is a joyful partnership, and our team is here to guide you through a thoughtful process that ensures the right match for both your family and the pet. We encourage potential adopters to meet with our staff, spend time with the animals, and bring household members to ensure a harmonious transition. Whether it is your first pet or a new addition to the family, we are committed to making the experience positive and rewarding.
