Humane Society of Livingston County
Our Mission
The Humane Society of Livingston County is dedicated to eliminating the abuse and overpopulation of animals while working tirelessly to prevent suffering within our community. Through education and compassionate care, we strive to ensure every animal has a chance at a healthy, happy life.
Why We Are Here
Our organization relies entirely on the generosity of our community through memberships, private donations, grants, and fundraising. These resources allow us to support vital programs, including our spay/neuter initiatives, foster care network, and public education efforts that help us advocate for the well-being of local animals.
How We Help
While we do not operate a traditional shelter, we maintain a wonderful, dedicated network of foster homes that provide temporary, loving care for cats and kittens. We support our foster parents by providing food, necessary medical care, spay/neuter services, and all essential supplies until each animal finds their permanent home.
The Joy of Adoption
Adopting from the Humane Society of Livingston County is a partnership that creates lasting bonds and supports our mission to save lives. We are committed to thoughtful, responsible adoptions and provide guidance to ensure that your new companion is the perfect fit for your lifestyle and home environment.
